On Mirella’s return to Africa in 2008, she photographed the conservationists in East Africa for the magazine Vanity Fair. Working alongside local communities at the heart of conservation, to improve the lives of people, animals and the environment. In her later life, Mirella has started to experiment with her earlier photographic work to create mixed-media pieces like this one created here in 2022.
